Revitalizing the identity of one of Norway’s leading sports federations

Since 1937 the Norwegian Handball Federation (NHF) has been an important arena for all handball sports in Norway. Through thousands of employees and volunteers, NHF is curator of a vast amount of annual sports events – from kids trying out handball for the very first time, to players going pro, and every step in between.

With broad communication needs, and a wish to reinforce their appeal, especially towards younger audiences, it was time to create a coherent identity to unify their brand. ANTI and NHF teamed up in close collaboration to design a strong brand identity, anchored in NHF’s core values; enthusiasm, commitment, respect and fair play. We have created a complete identity system and tool kit, in which hierarchy, clear typography and redefined color system highlights pride and energy – with their revitalized polar bear, a strong and iconic logo, in front.

Required for the new identity was to facilitate a versatile system, with easy-to-use tools for all employees and volunteers, which answer their needs, and ensures unified communication in all channels and touch points.
